The Gower home of Stand up paddle

Monday, March 21st, 2011

This is quite an amusing photo taken in the late 60′s at Limeslade bay on the Gower peninsula,Wales
We’re not sure who the guy is but little did he know he was at the start of a HUGE watersport revolution which is Stand up paddling.
Stand up paddleboarding or SUP for short is a growing sport in the lakes, rivers and Coasts of the U.k.
The very mudane or even silly looking sport of Standing on a huge surfboard and paddling is actually becoming hugely popular.
The sport can be done by anyone who can swim (incase you fall off) and benefits the body and mind in a way which no other sport can boast about …….So what you waiting for !
Book your lesson this summer with Stand up paddling in WALES and give it a try !
